I just finished None of This Is True by Lisa Jewell, and it was an eerie, gripping ride from start to finish. Author masterfully made suspense with psychological depth, creating characters . Every twist pulls you deeper into the story, leaving you questioning what’s true and what’s not.
However, the climax left me with more questions than answers, which made it feel both unsettling and frustrating. While the ambiguity adds to the eerie tone, it left some threads unexplored, making me wish for more closure.
Still, the book’s dark, chilling atmosphere and thought-provoking themes make it an unforgettable experience. A perfect read for anyone who loves psychological thrillers that linger in your mind long after the last page.
Kept me guessing all the way to the very last chapter. Wonderful read sectioned into four amazing parts.
Lisa Jewell once again had me thinking I figured out the ending, only to completely twist it around. The beginning was a bit slow but once you’re in it, you can’t put it down! It is important to remember the details told throughout as this novel jumps back and forth between narrators and time periods. Highly recommend!
4.5 - LOVED this, though the stage directions in the documentary parts became a bit tedious toward the end. they kept taking me out of the story, but the rest of it?? so good! i read most of this with the audiobook and this is probably the BEST audiobook i have ever listened to (free on spotify premium wink wink).
An interesting story of truth and lies, differing points of views and mental illness. Characters were pretty well developed and Josie, in particular, made me uncomfortable throughout so much of the book. The twist at the end - what are we to believe? I'm still not sure.
